Staying Connected

Folks at Ingenium have a common affinity for

"Human Potential and Spiritual Evolution"

where we combine our highest aspirations of

creativity, personal growth, and interpersonal connection.

All of our offerings are eclectic and non-religious. They strive to balance

deep introspection with a sense of lighthearted inspiration.

See below for current activities and check back for future developments.

"Connection Games"

Connection Games integrates various social modalities to produce "spontaneous improvisational, relational art", and where "vulnerable courageous connection is the new norm".  Mihai Banulescu as well as other gifted leaders occasionally facilitate small, intimate gatherings geared towards building deep platonic bonds and growing community that feels like chosen family.  Check our MeetUp site!

Special Meditations at Ingenium

We often begin with soft music or a simple guided meditation, followed by silent Sitting. Yoga or another special activity is sometimes offered too. Join us after for relaxed personal sharing.  RSVP on our MeetUp site.

Art, Nature & Spirit

Join us for a fun exploration of creating in the natural world.  Inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy, we'll engage together in film viewings, regional workshops, field trips and local collaborative pieces, both on the Inenium property and in the surrounding area.  Check out our "Creativity Trail" when you come to visit, and/or send us a message if this nature-play excites your interest.

Compassionate Communication & Cooperative Processing

Open to those who are actively pursuing residency and who have a special interest in practicing NVC. We meet with Peter Cohen, certified Compassionate Communication (NVC) & consensus trainer. Usually held at Peter's studio downtown Nevada City.

Loving Awareness Here Now Sangha

Let's come together for connection, introspection, insight, inner transformation, sharing from the heart, growing close as friends, and a sense of "Walking Each Other Home". Each evening will include a recorded talk by Ram Dass, a 20 minute meditation, and a discussion/personal sharing after. Click here for details.

Informal Study of the

Diamond Heart/Diamond Approach®

Some members and friends of Ingenium are exploring the "Diamond Approach®" to personal growth and spirituality, a "dynamic, evolving teaching that leads to openness, freedom, and realization of the many dimensions of our human potential—especially the amazing secrets of our spiritual nature".  Ask about joining a study group; and learn more about the Diamond Approach® at this link.

Seva Day!  Check back for next date.

Seva Day is a wonderful time when we get to experience each other's spirit in service, surrounded by nature. We'll start at 11 o'clock and wander down to the cool shade of the creek for a few hours of giving love to the trail. Bring water to drink, loppers, saws, gloves etc. Then, during the heat of the day we'll enjoy the sandy beach and the paddleboards at the pond. Bring a towel and swim gear. Afterwards, we'll share a delicious Indian dinner together!

Becoming Nobody Movie Night Image.jpg

Sangha Movie Night On The Beach! Check back for next date.

We'll watch an uplifting movie with depth and insight, after sunset by the pond. Bring blankets, flashlight, & snack to share if you like.  Dress warmly as it often gets cool here once the sun goes down, even on hot days.

Outdoor movie night under the stars is one of our all-time favorite gatherings of the year.  Feel free to come early to try out the paddleboards! Friends welcom. Free. No smoking, alcohol or pets please.

And here's something you may like in the meantime:

"Despite our efforts to maintain a smooth sailing life, unforeseen challenges often arise, causing frustration, pain, and agony.  While we may have limited control over our external circumstances, we have unlimited control over our internal responses. Achieving peace and stability in such situations depends on nurturing our inner consciousness and response mechanisms."  Click HERE for a beautiful, beautiful demonstration on cultivating this inner strength.
